About Johns Creek
Johns Creek is located mostly in Northern Fulton County, Georgia. The 2010 census indicated the population to be just over 76,000. The original inhabitants of the area were Cherokee Indians. Portions of Johns Creek have been within Cherokee, Milton and Fulton Counties. There are four small communities within Johns Creek which include Newtown, Shakerag, Warsaw and Ocee. There are also a couple of traditional fords over the Chattahoochee River as well. They are McGinnis Ferry and Rogers Ferry. In 1981, several graduates of Georgia Tech purchased a large tract and founded a technology center called Technology Park.
